Hi everybody
I have a 2001 50HP 4 stroke Evinrude / Suzuki.
Recently it has been running hot, mostly when idle, and the telltale is very unpredicteble.
But today i removed the gearcase and found something peculiar, there was a fine layer of gravel on top of the waterpump. Looked like sand and crushed crustacians, it wasent much. Plan is to inspect the water pressure valve.
But if anyone have som constructive input, i would much appreciate it. Pretty desperat.

- I replaced the impeller. The housing looks good.
- Checked tubes from Thermostat and telltale, they are fine.
- Also replaced Thermostat.
- Oil is fine with no traces of water, and watersystem dont smell burned, so i take head gasket should be fine.
