Older Merc 150 wont trim up under power, HELP

I have an older Mercury 150 that will trim up and down fine when on the trailer or when at idle speed. However, when the boat comes out of the hole, it will not trim up. The fluid resivour is full, but looks a bit "Milky" which makes me think it may be a bad seal on the hyd. ram or something. I just bought this boat so any suggestions would be greatly appriecated. Thanks in advance.

Is the manual release valve closed properly?How old? Post the number and it can be worked out.What style of PTT? Which ever it is,it's probably,as you say,a seal on one/both of the trim rams done and losing pressure.Assuming you have the three ram system.If the oil is "milkey",it's drawing water.
 
If it's '92,then you'll have the three ram PTT. I just reread your post,new to you,check the manual release valve.But as I said,if the oil is milky,then you have water ingress somewhere,usually a bad seal
 
Trim Rams.jpg... O.K. I was wrong. There are only 2 rams. Neither appear to be leaking. Please see the pics and let me know if you can help in any way. I'm assuming this is not a 92 because of the 2 rams. I tried to look it up last night by serial lnumber to find out year and\or model, but had no luck. Outboard.jpg
 
If the manual release is closed and it leaks down ,then there may be an internal seal on a piston leaking.----You would not see such a leak.------Check the manual release first.
 
That the old style 2 ram with trim pump in boat, either rams seals, ram hoses or high pressure check valve internal problem, you also must use a 30W oil in this system..
 
Good Morning all, I looked last night and did not see a manual release. This is a two ram with the pump inside the compartment where my batteries are. I did find one 30 amp fuse, that is wired into the top selinoid, blown. Is the trim the only thing wired to the selinoid? I am going to replace the fuse when I get home today and see if that produces any results. This forum is great, I really appriecate everyone's imput. This could save me a ton of money at the shop.
 
Post a few close-up pictures of the pump.------Perhaps there is a manual release device that can be pointed out using pictures.
