I just bought a Trojan with 2

I just bought a Trojan with 2 454 Crusaders. The port side motor has some valve issues that I have surmised to be from a oil problem. This is my first inboard however I am very familiar with the the big block. I removed the oil filter turned the motor with no oil coming out. Does anyone know of a way to get to the oil pump with removing the block?

One idea is to remove the dist

One idea is to remove the distibutor and turn over the oil pump with an adapter using a drill motor.
You should get oil everyplace.
