Oil injector issue;
I noticed the rubber hose and hand pressure pump (1 gallon tank in boat going to the motor is very hard to squeeze. anyway I cleaned up the old hose and pump and disconnected the quick connect, it released the pressure. Yes, it was under high pressure. I cleaned it up, it looked OK, and it felt good and worked normal. I took the boat to the lake and the emergency signal (key switch) beeper goes off several times (oil injector light ) .
I squeezed the pump several times, tried again, still getting beeper. Finally a big boy friend got both hands and squeezed really hard, it made the beeper go off, not other problems or beeper that day on the water. I checked/inspected the boat motor after pulling out and noticed black oil dripping down the motor cowling and spreed over or above the lower unit.

So, I'm thinking the oil injector is not working good or clogged up. I don't really know how it works, does each carb. have an injector that sprays and mixes with gasoline right before it burns? What normally stops working on the oil injector system.

Thanks Greg

There are no carburetors on that motor.-----And oil is NOT mixed with the gasoline on that motor.-----Hurry to find a local boat shop to check that motor out for you !

little race your good at being an ass, we all see that . If your not willing to provide information just stay off this post. I understand there is not a carb, injectors. You have not bothered to answer any of the questions I guess it's because you cant. I can't believe this web site has allowed a prick to hang around so long.

He'll soon mention "what an easy job it would be for him to fix" or "where are you located"? as if he has all of the parts in his secret stash but your just too far away using pony express and UPS or FED EX don't deliver to your location. I have more favorites but the general trend are condescending remarks and all questions are dumb questions. https://www.bing.com/search?qs=UT&p...e+great+and+powerful+oz&cvid=932e8abaa59d4800

thank you flyingscott, sounds like a good recommendation, I will get the manual, do you recommend a name brand manual like Seloc or the original.

Thanks again,
I found some you-tube videos on oil leaks up high in the unit ref. 115-150 Evinrude etec, it seams that the hoses from the pump to the crank case area, are failing and several have had to replace those hoses. The dry/cracked hoses are leaking or spraying a small amount of oil over everything nearby. I noticed in the comments section there were some knowledgeable folks adding addition detailed recommendations on top of what the author was saying. I will have time to look at the motor in a few days. Thanks

If you replace ANY hoses the have to be the exact same length on the oiling system! Likely due a oil lift pump if diaphragm bad. Also please realize parts and service is practically NLA for these engines .
