Need info on this motor

gday i have heard that older evinrude motors can be hard to get parts for.

can anyone date this motor and tell me if it is pre or post the takeover of evinrude

That looks to be about a 77 /78 model to me -------------Getting parts to keep it tuned should not be a problem !!

the reason i am asking is because i am looking at buying this boat but as yet not looked at it physically, thats why i asked the question. i had heard that older evinrude motors were hard to get (new) parts for so i just thought i would throw it out there to you guys more in the know than me

From the cowling its a 1977 model and you can still get parts for it though some may be from aftermarket suppliers only
