Mercury 90 Low Idle Bounce

I picked up a Mercury 90 four stroke that is four or five years old that only had 12 hrs on it. I have used it over the summer for probably 10 or 12 hours. This past week I was out trolling and a couple things have begun to occur. First is when trolling at the lowest speed the idle jumps up and down maybe 750 RPM, similar to a lawn mower that has a governor bounce. The problem seems to go away after the engine runs for awhile.

Secondly, when docking and shifting from low idle to neutral the engine knocks out. This happens whether going from Forward to neutral or reverse to neutral.

Can anyone make recommendations on what has caused this and how to rectify?
Any assistance is greatly appreciated.

Computer controlled, sensor driven and fuel injected.

Get it plugged in to a DDT at a dealer as see what's up.
 
Is it carb or EFI???? First put a impeller in it and if its a EFI then have checked to see if it has code faults.
