Mercury 115 Pro Xs Stutter problem

Hello everybody,

First of all, thanks for reading and my Englisch isn’t the best, but I’ll try.

I have a weird problem on my Mercury 115 Pro XS with 230 hours on it.
When I run the engine on 3000-5000 rpm, it will stutter after 45-60 minutes. It keeps running but every now and then it stutters for a brieve second.

It feels like it doesn’t get benzine/petrol for a tenth of a second. When I switch the motor off and on, the problem is gone but after a while I have the same issues.

I don’t think it is fuel/petrol problem in the internal tank, because I think that the problem would be always there and not after a while?

There are no alarms and when the dealer looks in the computer, no errors. When he puts it on the hose it wil run without a problem because it only appears when the motor is running fast (2000-6000 rpm and always after a langer time)

The spark plugs en the cables or new, every service is done on time.

I have it on film so you can see the stutter. (First video it stutters at 20sec.)

Who has an idea?

My 90 hp does the exact same thing. No alarms nothing in my vessel view. If I shut it off the restart it runs out great. I am stumped.

It could be your trim tilt sensor, if it falsely thinks you are trimmed up it will limit you to 2500 rpm, my 115 hp pro xs did the same thing as your video when operating above 2500 rpm but no problems below.
