Mercrusier 7.4 LX MCI bravo one fuel pump cooler

We have a mercruiser 7.4 Lx MCI bravo one that ran great one day and the next day it is not firing …not getting fuel. We think it may be the fuel pump and need to try to fix it ourselves due to mechanics backed up. Does anyone know how difficult it is? I see the diagram with the cooler system in the manual.

Ayuh,.... Before ya start throwing parts at it, check for anything but clean fresh gasoline in the fuel filter,.....

We have checked the filters first

which flavor of 7.4LX is it?? the serial number would be ideal.

some of the fuel system parts in that time frame are NLA...and not every one has an aftermarket option...

Suspect the fuel pump relay. These are standard-issue relays, so you can probably just get a couple from Amazon for cheap. The fuel pressure pump is also a very common unit.
