"The 8.1 is 496 c.i. they come in 375 and 425 hp. The manifolds interchange with all other BB GM engines. Mine is a 7.4 Horizon MPI 365 hp.

I was actually looking to put an 8.1 in this boat but I couldn't turn down the deal on the 7.4 when I found it.

The boat is a 1995 Formula 252LS.

"Shhh! Can you keep a secret? I have some cash and my boat isn't the wizer. Went the AC boat show a couple of weeks ago. First boat show for me since 1986. They had some huge markdowns. One of the brokers said Trenton Marine lost it's inventory. There is no doubt the Formula 400 SS had the nicest layout at the show, except for being GAS.. 2nd place- Regal. I can actually stand up in Sea Ray cabin #3."
