mecury 200hp 1986 model

Hi

I have a black max 200hp outboard 1986 era.I am wondering what i have to do to take the swivel arm bracket assemble of to get to the bottom yoke?

Buy the looks of it i shall have to remove gear box,powerhead and mid section.Where to from there please. Unfortunately i have lost my manual.

Another question .I have another engine and boat it seems to run better on 91 unleaded rather than 95 or 98 octane.Why would this be?The engine has a 200hp 1980s model.
