Mariner 75hp timing?

Hey guys. I’ve got a Mariner 75hp serial number 0B125421 that I am working on the timing on. My question is what should the timing be at when it is idleing and when it is a Wot. Currently the timeing at an idle is roughly 3.5-4 degrees after tdc. If someone could give me some number to go off of that would be awesome I cannot find any information on the engine so coming here.

Fact , this is a 2 stroke engine and not a 283 small block chevy.----There is a specification for full throttle timing.------There is a specification for where the throttle plates open.----Where the timing is when engine actually idles smoothly does not matter and it looks after itself !

Okay so I guess I need timing numbers for when the throttle plate crack open and when it full throttle. I currently have the engine running and it seems perfect but ya know I’d hate to melt a piston.

I 100 percent agree but when your not paying attention in a hurry and accidentally turn the wrong screw then ya need to know the numbers.

Not sure what the max timing is for yours but you can set it correctly with a timing light IF you remove the carb linkage that is operated by the throttle. That allows you to hold her wide open (about 3,000 rpm) and adjust the timing correctly.
