Mariner 55 identification

Not always a good thing to compare prop sizes of other engines on different craft used for different purposes etc. Do your own thing paying attention to the above advice re revs. An engine that sounds to be going faster may just be working harder with less result.
 
Sorry about that, I forgot you're running the same dinosaur as me. According to a hand written note inside the front cover of the original owner's manual for my outboard I have a Standard prop 48 61818A1 13P. The link I posted wasn't so much for the prop selector link as for the info from galamb on how to select a prop using a tacho to find where you're at and how to get where you want to be. All the best with finding a 2nd hand one, the spare outboard I bought for spares had already been stripped of its prop before I got it.
