Mariner 4stk 150HP alternator rectifier

My alternator stopped working and after opening found the rectifier with 2 shorted diodes. I have looked at the local electrical suppliers but couldn't find a compatible rectifier. The local Mariner agent says that they do not sell rectifiers but the whole assembled alternator.

The rectifier is a Denso type but the closest one I found has the small diodes missing and swapped regulator mountings.

The pictures show my rectifier vs the other Denso I found which looks much less robust than the one in my motor.

So can someone guide me to some store that can help me?

Denso made to Mercury spec so you wont find anything on auto side that will work. Remember that auto runs at max 3000rpm all the time where as outboard is 5000-6000rpm thus the extra components to dissipate excess current and heat.Most are welded together to prevent disassembly....

So you dont suggest I modify the Denso Rectifier as it will probably blow soon?
