Lower Unit interchangeability

Hi
I have a 1970 80 hp 4 cyl serial # 2886649 I, looking for a lower unit, previousowner left it full water and the casing cracked.
Every unit I look at the casting is longer outside the Aft and Forward bolts.All the bolt center dimensions are the same. Would the longer casting work?Picture are of the cracked unit.

Any Inline 4 cylinder(650/75/80/850 hp's) with the 2:33:1 ratio will work

I have an '84 75 HP on a '69 800/80Hp with no problems

I was able to pick this up for $100 cdn. Came with a prop, the skeg needs a little attention.
