Just got off the lake. Everything was fine until the power run back to the ramp. Boat lost most all power. No alarms (both work), no heating problems. Ran like on 2 or 3 cyl. Got to the ramp and on trailer. Began to heat up a little, about half way. Would start but if given too much throttle it would bog down and die. Plugs not fouled, and were wet with oil/gas. Any ideas? Thanks.

Thank you. It does seem like an electrical issue. I'll give it a try tonight. Any better way than hooking up the spark-plug and touching it to the block? Is the stator per bank?

Need a spark gap tester(autoparts) and it should jump a 3/8 gap. It should be bright blue with a snap/pop to it and yes stator control each bank.

Ok making progress, one bank no spark. Traced green lead to inner switch box. Any chance it's bad instead of stator. I replaced the stator in 2000.any thoughts much appreciated.

Yep that's the one. I followed the stator test procedure last night, stator ohms check out on both boxes. Local dealer/repair shop has a switch box in stock. I'll check the wiring real close to be sure I don't have a bad ground or cut wire. Thank you very much for your input.
