Johnson 130 will not idle in gear

Fresh rebuild on the power head...recently took it out for a cruise at the lake:
-WOT across the lake at 5500 RPM = 36 MPH 74 Wellcraft Airslot 185 full fuel and 3 souls on board
-if I pull it down below about 2000 rpm it dies, unless I keep it happy by using the key prime
-if I try to idle down to dock or approach the trailer it dies
So far:
New plugs
Cleaned and rebuilt crabs, incl carb cleaner, soft copper wire thru all jets, flushed with isopropyl alcohol
Link and sync has been done
New fuel lines and filters
Fresh gas
Confirmed TDC with piston stop

Any other ideas???

Using the primer puts fuel into the engine.-----This fuel bypasses the carburetors.-----That seems to point to issues with carburetors.

My thoughts lean that way...but after 2 cleanings and a rebuild, and the fact that it runs so well above 2000 rpm....???

Well then , you may have to do some more trouble shooting.----Model # of the motor is ?

J120TLCOS...its a 1987 120 powerhead with 1995 J130TLEOA carbs (adjustable idle screws)

Whats the jet sizes on air and main as the 95 is a big bore and yours is a small bore...

Not near boat and cant find note...same as stock 130? #33 and #30 intermediate ??? ill have to pull a carb to be sure...

Still dont have jet sizes, but believe them to be stock for the 130 carbs (they have adj idle needles) Did a compression and spark check
100-105-100-95 spark good to all four ?????

Did you get the throttle plates also??? Have you cleaned the calibration pockets?? Was carbs adjusted properly starting at 5-1/2 turns out???

Throttle plates were done during link and sync. Not sure what calibration pockets are? Adjusted carbs starting at 5-1/2, but did it on the muffs...I guess it should have been in a tank or at the dock....
