Impeller Replacement Question

Hello! I’ve replaced my impeller and ready to put this back together. However, I’m concerned about a potential missing o-ring on the drive shaft. I’ve watched so many videos and looked over schematics and can’t see anywhere this is addressed. I also have one additional o-ring in my impeller kit. Should there be an o-ring here? Also, if there should be then the old one is probably up in the upper unit. Any advice on getting it out?

That's wear from the O-ring in the housing above- Assuming you change the impeller semi-frequently, if you put grease on the splines, some will coat that when you reassemble it.
