How to adjust idle?

Hello,
I have a 1993 Evinrude 150hp Intruder Spitfire. VE150GLETG

My idea on the muffs, according to the tach at the dash, is up around 1700 RPMs.
I cannot for the life of me figure out how to adjust the idle on this motor. 20180315_145129 - Edited.jpg

They will idle high on muffs and you cannot adjust idle properly on muffs. Engine has to be in water tank or lake as it needs backpressure. Yours may be fine as usually out of water RPM will be around 1300RPM

Get yourself an OMC Factory Service Manual and it will tell all in there.

2x on this. There is really no adjustment screw for the idle. Link and sync may need to be done.

2x on this too. If this is the first time you are running the engine this year, launch it, and run it before you touch anything.....Make sure your engine is actually running at High rpm and your tach is not just malfunctioning.
