What happens if it is to high.

What happens if it is to low.

Also wondering why they do not have a high end needle. ??

Flooding, hard starting

misfiring, slow throttle response, low power, hard to start

High speed needles have been fixed for decades. Low speed jets are still used.

Thanks for the reply's

The problem I am having, Engine cranks good, Idles good but bogs down past 3/4 throttle. ????

I do not believe your issue is a float / float valve issue.------Look for a fuel supply issue in hoses and tank !-----Way back when I used to be on board a boat with a 1966 model 100 HP Johnson.------Had three 6 gallon tanks.-----Motor was awesome on a 17' deep V hull.-----When motor faltered we knew it was another empty tank and carburetor.----I got pretty good at changing over the hose fitting and often the skier recovered before falling in the water.-----The motor would have full power till just before carburetor was empty.----Just like my old 1967 Lawnboy mower it also has full power till just before carburetor bowl is empty !!

Thanks for the reply.

That is what I was Thinking also, Have a small inline fuel filter and going to remove it and see what happens.

After you remove it cut it open. If full of crud, time to replace all your filters....engine may have one too....you didn't say what you were running, and fuel lines/squeeze bulb if your engine has 10+ years of age....that's when it happened to me. Also wouldn't hurt to put in a new fuel pump kit. The diaphragm can get hard and as a result not able to pump as much fuel as when new....happened to me.
