Greetings fellow Honda owners.
Bf 130 approx 850 hrs, 1999 model.
I have followed the info about cracked heads and blocks.
My Honda runs very well 20 years now.
I ordered a new thermostat;
I believe these engines had 80deg C thermostat and were replaced by 72 deg. thermostat , obviously to run a bit cooler.
Upon inspecting the thermostat on mine it is a 60 deg. stat. and I have just put in the 72 deg one.
Should I remain with the 60 deg one?
Summer water here is around max 30celsius.
Please advise.
Logically the ambient water temperature should play no significant role I would think since the cooling system is regulated by the thermostat.
It might be relevant to the usage of the engine maybe like trolling versus time spent cruising.
