You need to remove the vertical shaft from the bottom of the case. It is hung up on the crankshaft or the seal and is holding the block to the oil case. They usually just slide right off with the extension case but it looks like yours got stuck.

thanks for the respan.. i figured that out by now... butt no matter how i tugg it desent sem to come lose. so i putt the engin upside down and viled the shaft fith wd-40 and hoe that it helps... any other i deas i cud try...

also here are som sreens from the manual

Well, you're on the right track but you need to use something a little more potent than WD-40 to soak the splines in. Get a product called PB BLASTER -available almost everywhere including True Value, Wal Mart, Pep Boys etc...and soak it in that.

I would then use a pair of Vise-Grips clamped inside one wall of the hollow bottom of the shaft being careful not to distort the tube or bend the shaft. Attach a slide hammer with a hook end on it to the pliers and give it a few gentle raps/tugs. It should come out. Don't use too much force if you decide to do this. Repeated attempts is better than being too forceful to ensure that you don't damage the crankshaft.

If you don't have those tools, then you'll need to get creative.
Good luck.

i have those tools. but was to scared to make to mutch damage. so i tied a flag pole line around the shaft and taped ducktape around it and used a heavy hamer in a loop, its still holding strong.... but still havent come lose :/
i dont know if we have those chemicals her i live in norway... but i try this untill to morow and try again... iv heard some guy say to use disel butt im not sure if thats good ether?

Yeah, I don't know what to tell you. You need to get some sort of rust penetrant in there as I am sure that it just rust that is holding it in there.

How about some other brands?: Liquid Wrench, Aero Kroil, 3M, Naval Jelly? Ask your auto parts store or hardware store guys for what they would use. Don't worry, you'll get it eventually. Just don't force it and ruin the crank.

i got it loose ;) exept the shaft is still on .... but al least the engin is lose ... the pistons and some componds are soaking in disel over night for a good scrubbing and the shaft has som more wd-40 asinton and hidrolic fluids to hoping to get the shaft of in the end ;)
ill try to post some more pics if any one wants to se them?!?
