Honda 130 alarm code

I have a 2001 Honda 130 fourstroke , when I turn the key on or start the motor the alarm comes on intermittently. When I jump the red plug it flashes a code of one long flash every two seconds repeatedly, seems to be a code of number one which the service manual doesn’t have, service manual says if it flashes a code that’s not in the manual the ECM is faulty. I’ve tried a different ECM and I get the same code ? PLEASE HELP!

One long flash is code 10, one short flash is 1. Code 10 indicates a fault on the ground return from the IAT sensor, that is the intake air temp sensor on the intake silencer. Try and clear the code as per the manual. if it returns straight away check for continuity between the IAT plug and the corresponding colours at the ECU plug.If that is all good then you will more than likely require a new IAT sensor.

Just to clarify, the manual is confusing in that it says for example, code 14- 14 blinks, that is incorrect, it should state 1 long, 4 short, etc. So one long blink would be 10, one long and four shorts-14 and so on.Hope this helps.
