hey guys Love getting advice form this site, tricky one 90hp 1996 evinrude no flywheel nut

hey guys bought a 90hp 1996 looper charged evinrude, it has been sitting for a few years.
it is seized and has no flywheel nut to turn. I have taken all the top off down to the stator

Did you pull the gearbox to see if the driveshaft turns?

I have put it in gear and cant turn the prop, if that's what you mean?

I should mention the plugs have been out and chambers are soaking with penetrene last few days,

Nope!... What he's saying is to drop the gear-case in order to find if it is the power-head or the gear-case that's jammed.

In neutral the prop should turn freely, does it yes or no ?

Pull the heads and inspect as it has no head gasket. If it has dropped a piston skirt it could have windowed the block at water jacket. If so block and all internals are junk.Also pull the oil screws on lower unit to see if full of water/rust or metal shavings...ya might get lucky.

Hi yeah Prop spins freely in neutral, there is no nut to crank engine over manually on this model. I will pull the leg of and have. Look, leg oil seems good

Why the confusion here.---There is no flywheel nut on these 60 degree loopers !!-----Never was from the day they left the factory.----5 bolts are used for the flywheel along with a locating pin !

Ah yes , this is true. How do I turn the motor over manually please

You need the puller kit as if you try using the flywheel bolts the will snap easily...
