Help with fixing a leaky Power Trim on a 1998 BF90A

I had my mechanic do some service work on my 1998 BF90A, and before I took the boat over I noticed red residue on the lower unit. I suspected it to be power trim hydraulic fluid and the mechanic confirmed this. The mechanic doesn't have time to work on this right now, but he seems to think after filling it and letting it (leaks out completely in a couple hours) that the leak is coming from one of the bolts (#14 on diagram) that bolts the fluid reservoir/tank (#12) to the power trim unit. He says that I probably need to hoist engine up off of the transom & actuate the PT unit to access these bolts, and I do have access an engine hoist as well. My question is has anyone had a leaky reservoir on here and think that I will be able to service it if I am able to hoist the engine off the transom without having to take the whole PT unit off? I am also wondering what parts/seals I should consider replacing? It looks like the bolts have washers, but the cap (#13) has a o-ring (#34) too. Any input would be appreciated.

I've never had to lift an engine off the transom to repair or replace a power trim unit. Mind you it is a Honda. If it like thier cars I wouldn't be surprised. But I would put the motor on its tilt lock and remove the pins holding the unit in place. And pull it out one piece. But I could be wrong on this. It may have to come off. If you feel confident putting in new seals then go ahead and do it. But if you don't. And you screw it up. You may as well replace it. I guess I'm not much help here.
 
You need to remove the engine, then one transom bracket, port usually the easiest, disconnect the wiring harness and remove the complete unit. I would then remove the reservoir and replace the o rings between the reservoir and main body and the filler cap o ring.Whilst doing all this it would pay to replace the o rings on the valve body to main body too.This can be a time consuming job, depends on corrosion if it has been used in saltwater all its life. Could be why mechanic says he doesn't have time, its not a 5 min job
