Fuel problem??????

Anybody had this problem with a Honda BF50D outboard. Engine starts easily but when throttling up the engine acts as if the throttle is being moved up and down. After 1-2 minutes the engine settles in at about 3/4 throttle. Any help would be welcomed

Wow, for a minute there I thought you'd ripped off my nickname. But....
I realized your's is different.

Mine is: Really Bad Fisherman Jim
And....at the suggestion of friends and family, I'm soon changing it to
Really Really Bad Fisherman Jim!


Anyway, I attached a thread you may want to read if you haven't heard about the "fuel grommet" issues on these outboards.

I'm not saying that's what's going on with yours for sure but lots of good suggestions from some knowledgeable folks plus a video of replacing the grommet.
