Fuel filters

Hello, are all fuel filters for small outboards about the same.? Where is a good place to put them in the line. thank you

a water ilter is your best bet with today's gas..sold on this site..put it between the bulb and motor...

I've always installed a 10 micron Racor fuel/water separator between the fuel tank and engine. That prevents water and most contaminants from getting into your carbs or injectors. I'm not sure how practical that would be for a small engine using a portable tank.

Ayuh,.... Agreed,.... mount it where ever convenient to change, plumb it just ahead of the fuel pump,....
