HI this may seem like a really dumb question but here goes
I"ve always flushed my motor using muffs. They never have done a very good job and i'm always worried they'll fall off which they do some times.
I have a hose connector at the back of the motor but was told not to use it as it doesn't lubricate the impeller.
but, what if I don't have the engine running?
ie just hook up the hose and turn it on
do I need to have the motor running to effectively flush out the motor?
and if yes then I expect my impellor intake will not flush and over time get salt buildup?
should I be worried that over time this salt build up might break loose in chunks and get into my cooling pipes creating a real problem?
cheers
