Hi,
I recently got a boat that has been sitting for 10+ years. I checked for spark after taking the proper precautions for an engine that has been sitting. It only has spark on the right 3 cylinders the left 3 are dead. The coils are good and I cleaned all the electrical connections/grounds. The stator looks really clean and the magnets look good. The kill switch circuit is good. The timer base connections look good and are clean. Since one side has strong spark, I want to say it's a timer base issue but I don't know for sure.
