Having a new boat is pretty exciting, but this old girl needs some TLC before i start playing with it too much. I'm kind of anal about maintenance on most of my toys, and leaving a boat set for long periods with no up keep is not good IMO.
The previous owner put a lot of work into this baby before selling it. But I just want to go through all the basics to insure everything has been done right and start my maintenance log so we don't have problems right from the start.
My boats do not set unused around here. I fish 10 months out of the year, and we plan to use this boat a lot. I did get rid of my drift boat. My wife, and favorite fishing partner , prefers trolling over shooting rapids in a drift boat in foul weather. i cant understand why..... Also having something big enough we can take the kids and grand kids out in too will be a huge bonus. Might even drag the kids around in a tube a bit this summer too. But mostly we'll be fishin....
