Hello,
Today I did a replacement kit of the impeller on my Suzuki DF30 outboard (I believe this is a 2021 or 22 model). I used the genuine Suzuki kit which included impeller, gasket, O-Ring, etc. Everything seemed to go well, and the tell-tale has a seemingly healthy stream of water after doing the replacement. I noticed though while I was doing a flush with the cups+hose that water was pooling and coming out of where the gear shift linkage opening is. What I'm not sure of is if I've ever noticed this happening before, and just wanted to see if this is normal for water to be exiting here or if it means I have a leak going on with the pump - wanted to ask before I go pulling the lower unit again. Attached a picture with the area in question circled in red - this was after I had flushed the engine, so no water is pooled in the photo, but this hole was full to the top of water and leaking out. Thanks in advance!
