Creeper

Hello I am hoping some mechanic's can give me some advice. My boyfriend is a boat mechanic and he has mentioned wanting a creeper. I want to surprise him with one, but there are several types of creepers out there. Do you all use the creeper that you lay on your back, a chair creeper, or both?Thank's for any advice you can give.

I use a chair style as rarely under the boat, but also have the laydown type. Get one with largest wheel possible as it keep you from flipping over and stay away from Harbor Freight.

Thank you! I have been looking at "The Bone" creeper, because he is a tall guy, but they do not have one that will convert from chair to a lay down and I don't know if 2 chairs will "clutter up" his work space. There is also a "pro lifter z-creeper" this one converts, but have no clue of the brands quality.

You want one that's LOW as possible, in case your boyfriend can't jack a car WAY up. There are some with a plastic body that are under slung, so the part you lay on is just off the ground.

A low slung creeper can be hung on a wall out of way, Most of outboard work is done standing up,unless your 6 feet5,then you might be sitting, Boy friend will get more use out of sitting version while working on boats than lying down version,or better yet buy him both and you cover all the bases
