Crank rod removal

So I can only assume being an American outboard engine, a lot of the sizes are going to be imperial size... (use metric in the uk!)

currently rebuilding a MM 60 2 stroke, big ends need replacing ... but none of my spanners fit... 7mm too big, 6mm too small... tried to use what imperial sizes i had, 1/4" too small, 5/16"? i think was too big... does anyone know what size the actual bolt is? 12 point head on it, no idea what size to use.

9/32 5/16 X 2 = 10/32 - 1/32 = 9/32nd 1/4 inch = 8/32

just seems like a maths exam question, sorry lol...

so I'm going to need an 8/32 sized socket?

They are either 1/4 with 12 points or 5/16" with 12 points.------------HP and serial # are ?
