Controls compatability

I have a 1979 Mariner 175 v6. I am thinking of going to a 200hp 1988 Yamaha. The motor is set up for a center counsel boat. My boat is a side setup. Can I use my Mariner controls on the Yamaha?

No has electrical harness doesn't have enough wires internally to splice.....
