Confused about my new boat engine

Hi all, just bought a boat and on it cover it has a big 85 and looks original, but the serial number reads AJ120TLC0S which to me reads 120hp engine. Is this correct? is there any other things i can check to correctly identify?

They marketed the 85 HP Javelin model in 1977 and 1978.--------------It certainly is not a 120 HP " looper " model judging by the lower cowling !

Sounds like someone swapped the clamp bracket and swivel section due to possible damage. A 120 looper midsection will interchange with a crossflow due to bolt pattern

aloso anyone know the prop size for me to buy a new one??

You can not just buy a prop and put it on the motor !---------------The correct prop has to be selected based on the boat and the use of the boat.-----Serious engine damage will result if using the wrong prop.
