Compresion Test?

What are exceptable values for a compression test, Everyone seems to hve their own set of rules when it comes to Compression tests?

First a compression test tells you nothing about condition of motor..it is just a measure to see if a cylinder can support combustion..

If cylinder can't support combustion, doesn't that tell you a little bit about the condition of the motor?

Your motor needs work.-----Lucky you if it just needs a head gasket.-----Remove cylinder head and inspect.----This may well turn into an expensive story.
