Chrysler v Crusader

I have twin Chrysler marine 440, 300hp which are in need of a rebuild. I just came across two Crusader 350’s with 150hours for $1500 a piece. Are these comparable? Worth the switch? Any thoughts? Would they provide the same power? Thanks

First off, your in the outboard forum.
Your trading up.
The new is 350hp old is 300 smaller block but same HP.
The price looks good.
150 hr but how old? Too old could be trouble??

That's a pretty good deal. Considering rebuilt engines will be well beyond $5K each. You'll likely have to redo the engine mounting and all the plumbing. Wiring should be about the same. Shouldn't be too much trouble to swap those in, all in all.
