Electric start from the 80’s The motor had been doing fine. For some reason on trying to start it yesterday it would start for a few seconds and choke and spit a bit of oily gas in the water around it. I then held the choke open and it starts and runs fine. This is why I’m thinking a choke adjustment may help. I’m just not sure which screw to turnElectric start ?-----Remote electric start ?----A 1953 / 1969 / 1985 / 1996 model or what.----Model number posted will help you get answers.
Early 1980s have a solenoid operated flap type choke in the carb. There is no adjustment screw. Make sure that when the solenoid is energised the flap closes fully and that when not energised the choke is fully open.Electric start from the 80’s The motor had been doing fine.
