hello, i was wondering if its possible to convert my 1960 johnson 40 hp rdsl-22 to cdi ignition? and if so, what would be a useable cdi unit and off of what..... see where im going with this.. lol thanks in advance...... gordon
 
There is nothing wrong with the design of the easy to maintain 1960 magneto.----Roughly $100 to install a new system.-----But you have to take your own time to learn about that simple unit.
 
Take the time to learn how to inspect / trouble shoot / service this magneto.------$100 buys you all the parts new.------Takes over $500 or $1000 to buy all new parts for some electronic systems
