Hello gentlemen
i have a question about the carb on my 1976 OMC 140 I REBUILT THE CARB AND NOTICED THAT ONE OF THE IDLE MIXTURE SCREWS WAS SHORTER THAN THE OTHER IS THIS RIGHT OR HAS IT BEEN CUT AT SOME POINT.
THANK YOU

There are several sites that have parts diagrams for those engines look up the carb and see if the screws use the same part # that would be a good indication. I use ishopmarine.com for my omc stuff real easy parts prints

That's 2GC vintage.

Originally, both screws were the same length.

What is important is that they have the proper thread and taper. As long as you can adjust the screw when required, its length is not critical.
