Broke off my lower unit.

Hi everyone. I just broke my lower unit in half on my 200hp 96 evinrude. I suppose I was due since I’ve never lost a lower, until now. I went back and found the bottom half and all the gears look to be ok as far as I can tell by looking at them. Can I reuse any parts and just put them into a new housing? I’d really appreciate any and all input on my options. Thanks.

Opinions differ.-----You will have to check for a bent mid section.-------Check propshaft for a bend.-----Gears may have suffered from impact.-----Used gearcase may be the best option.-----Since factory new may not be available an SEI replacement might appeal to you.
