BOGGING DOWN AT FULL THROTTLE

1999 Mercury 200efi. When running on plane at full throttle it acts like it's not getting fuel. Boat comes off plane and even though it's at full throttle it only goes about 5mph. It eventually goes back up on plane. Sometimes when idling I go full throttle and speed does not increase. Just had it tuned up by Merc certified mechanic.

No, when I first fire it up it runs fine. It has not spun the hub.

Sounds like stator or fuel issues. is this why it was "tuned"?

I tuned because it was due for service. It had the same problem prior to the tune up.

Take it back to the mechanic or find a new mechanic?----Was it " tuned " with your fuel or the shop tank ?-----And in this day and age there is no such thing as a " tune-up " in my opinion.
