BJ30elecs wont start

Hello,

I have a BJ30ELECS from around 1998. I didnt get much use the latest years and the engine didnt run very well this spring and was boggy. I decided to clean the carburator to see if it would help. To access the bolts to the carburator i had to loosen the starter bracket and solenoid. Now after the carb is reinstalled the engine is completly dead. I get no system check sound from the speaker when i turn on the ignition and nothing happens. I have tried to bypass the solenoid and the starter will engage if i do that but as I dont get any sound from the speaker i wouldnt guess that the solneoid just happen to give up during my hour of carb cleaning.

Any ideas where to start with this?

I might add that priming doesnt work so i rule out solenoid as the bad part. The question is where to start the trouble shooting.

Check fuse as most likely blown

Is there more than one fuse? I found one, it was not blown but i changed it anyway without any luck.

On many control boxes a horn will self check with a momentary beep.-----If you do not get that when key is turned on you have a bad ignition switch , ----No voltage coming from solenoid to the switch .-----Or a bad horn.----Bad neutral start switch.

Is there any more neutral switches than the remote one in the remote throttle control unit?

Make sure you reattached the negative battery wire to stud on starter bracket
