BF9.9 Chainging gear oil question?

I have a new this year BABJ 16068XX Bought in Canada. The manual calls for SAE 90 Hypoid oil with an API of GL-4.
Is it Acceptable to use Castrol 85-90 with an API of GL-5. Most all the different types/manufactures of gear oil claim the GL-5 is above and beyond the the GL-4 and can be substituted.
Can I use this oil in my 9.9?

yes GL5 will b fine

Thanks for the answer. This Oil also has an MT-1 rating not sure what that means.

GL = Gear Lube. The number 4 = Designated for hypoid gears operating under conditions of MODERATE TO SEVERE conditions of speed and load.

The number 5 = Designated for hypoid gears operating under VARIOUS COMBINATIONS OF high speed/shock load and low speed/high torque conditions.

The same? It would seem so but I'm not sure.

MT= Manual transmission. The number 1 designator indicates heavy duty non synchronized truck and bus transmissions.
