BF75 (bf7.5 hp) Trying to remove the motor from the casing

I am trying to remove the motor from the casing, I have removed all visible bolts from the bottom of the case, and detached everything from he top that I can see, but the unit does no move. Anyone know what I am missing or what I need to pull on harder? Trying to get to the exhaust pipe to check for holes and the oil filter..
 
Well you need to remove the mid section and there are a number of bolts hidden.-------------------No need to use a hammer on it.-----------Exploded views are available " online "
 
There are eight (8) bolts that hold the engine in the oil case. You must remove the extension to get to all of them. There are five (5) bolts at the front of the block and three (3) at the back.

In the front, two of the bolts are in a straight line with the two you can easily see but they are up in a deep cavity in the case so you have to tilt the case up or get under it to see them. The fifth one is located just ahead of those two in that same cavity but on the engine's center line.

The three at the back are pretty much in line with each other. There are the two that you can easily see but the third one is "hidden" in the middle. You must remove the exhaust pipe seal to get to it. The exhaust pipe seal is the metal "nipple" with the rubber grommet with a spring band around it and is held on with three small bolts.

I recommend getting the manual if you are going to dig this deep.

Well, thanks for the advice. I purchased the manual, and now have more parts on the bench, but once I get this thing fixed I will use that manual to keep this thing working. It didnt have much info on the BF75L, but I took some pictures of what I have going on, so I am hoping that someone might be able to help me. I have got everything removed, plus some other parts that the manual said would reveal hidden bolt but again I am stuck, nothing seems to be moving. I took some pics of where I am stuck, seems better then trying to explain it.

The only thing that I see that might be holding it in still is the main shaft/ or axel..This thing has me beat!!!! Anyone have any idea what I am missing?

Nice photos! They tell me that you have all but one bolt out. The one you need to get doesn't show in the 5th photo of the slide but that's where it is hiding.

It is at the same "depth" as the three that you took out up front, in that casing "cavity", shown in picture #4.

It is just up in front of that tubular looking thing in pic #5. Waaay up in there. I can't see it in your photo but you should be able to see it with a good flashlight.

What ever you do, don't start hitting the case even with a soft hammer. Don't pry either. These cases are very brittle cast aluminum and break way too easy. Don't ask me how I know.

When you get that bolt out, it will wiggle loose.

Yeah, these manuals aren't the greatest but they are much better than nothing.
 
well, i believe you....10 minutes looking with the flashlight doesn't reveal anything new, but I am going back for a 3rd look. Somewhere around the exhaust pipe?
 
ok, 1/2 can of wd40 and a little pulling and now its out....hope I can remember where all the parts go .....thanks for the help...I might be back
