BF50 - engine oil leaks when tipped

I have a Honda 5HP (circa 1980s), which I use to push around my sailboat. When I'm under sail (or moored), I tip and lock the engine forward to keep the prop out of the water. At its furthest setting out of the water, engine oil leaks from somewhere, and it pools into the front of the casing. Any suggestions for places to be checking? There are no obvious cracks in the front or loose bolts, and the engine oil cap is tight.

I don't know this engine but most of them have some sort of crankcase vapor vent coming from the valve cover and usually directed to the carburetor air inlet. Sometimes the hose end comes out of the housing and allows oil to pool.

One other thing you might try to get a clue is to turn the motor to the extreme port or starboard before tilt up to see if that makes difference in the amount of oil you get. Hopefully someone else here has a better idea.
