BF40 Lamp Indicator is dim

I have owned a number of Honda outboards over the years. I have owned this BF40 for two years now and have rebuilt the outboard from top to bottom, but one thing always kind of bothers me. All my other Hondas, the Lamp Indicator for oil pressure has always been a bright green. On this BF40, it is a dim green, but it IS ON.

Something to be concerned about? Maybe the Lamp is on its last leg? Getting ready to head up to Canada to do some camping and remote fishing and don't want to be surprised by a failure.

Referring to part 20 in the below link:

Thanks,

Eric

I presume it's a bulb in that fitting and you probably can't get an LED to fit which is a shame (but worth a try). Have you tried another bulb?

You could also wire a buzzer so that it comes on when the oil pressure light goes off.
