bf225 service bulletin #56

my 2003 bf225 has 160 hours and it has bent the #6 con rod twice and 3 have replaced 3 o2 sensors and I'm needing a copy of service bulletin #56 and any advise is welcome [email protected]

thanks so much this was a big help it looks like they mounted the engine to low its even with the exh holes

Our experience with a pair of BF175's (same block) is that the Honda recommended minimum height is really too low on some hulls. After multiple O2 failures we finally bit the bullet on our Cat, lifted the transoms 5" and extended the engines. A little early to be sure yet, but problems so far have stopped.

Bigjohn, sorry I was late getting to this, but I see Aristikat has you covered on SB#56. Page 7 of the SB pretty well covers what causes the problems, engine mounted too low being a key issue.
