BF15D Tiller to remote change over

I have a 15 hp 2006 Honda outboard. I changed the throttle and shifter over to the forward control. I have a replacement wire harness for the model with remote controls. I'm having trouble getting this to work properly. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks

What trouble are you referring to, changing a 15 tiller to remote is not an easy or practical option?

emote is not
I'm referring to switching the wiring harness, so that the 6 pin and the 4 pin plugs from the remote can be used. everything else works. The key switch and the kill switch is all I need at the remote now. Instead of a push button start and kill switch at the tiller.
