BF130 Tachometer Needle Stuck

"Rip it out and buy a new tach

"Rip it out and buy a new tach...

Sorry, if the tach is toast, not much you can do to fix it. However, first check that the wiring to it is connected properly (hasn't come undone, rotted/frayed etc on both the tach end and the engine end of the harness) - a tach needle will also stick in one spot if it is neither getting a signal or power to the unit...."

"Graham is correct. Tachs will

"Graham is correct. Tachs will stick in one place if they are not getting any/enough power. Check all wiring. You may want to simply disconnect at the gauge and hook up an automotive tach (set for the correct number of cylinders) at the gauge and see if you get an accurate or any reading. If not, you have bad wiring. If you get a good reading, your tach is fried."
