BF 200 fuel issues

[FONT=&quot][FONT=&quot][/FONT][FONT=&quot]I have a Honda bf200 with I’m thinking are fuel issues. Engine was running fine until I added new gas. Got bad fuel that had a lot of water (post hurricane Harvey) Engine died when I was in the bay. Got towed back and I started to troubleshoot fuel system. I took off fuel bowls/ filter and noticed the water... pumped with bulb into a clear bottle and noticed a ton of water. Ended up fully draining tank, replaced filters, fuel water separator, and refilled w good fuel. Primed fuel lines and system till bulb was firm. Tried to start engine , turns over but won’t fire. Plugs were good and dry, tried to see if I could get fuel to HP filter with pressure relief screw but I seem like I may not not be getting fuel there. Fuel Lines are all clear and flow good. Maint manual kinda stops there for troubleshooting and not sure what to check next. No Mil lights or sounds. When I turn key should I hear fuel pump? Should I test fuel pump,not sure how best to test or test Vapor separator, anything else ? Steps ? Honda service is about 150 miles away so trying to fix in my shop. It may be a simple as draining your vapor separator. It holds about 3-4 cups of gas and some of the water may have ended up trapped in there.
 
Agree with Mheltun, that's the first place to check.

Do I understand correctly that when you loosen/remove the pressure relief bolt on the top of the HP fuel filter cover, that you get no fuel there?

You should hear the fuel pump come on for 2 seconds when you turn on the key. If not, activate the kill switch and unplug the 2-prong harness and apply 12 volts to see if it comes on. It should. If not, check the wiring harness and the two spade connectors to the fuel pump. See item #36 at:

Another possibility is that the needle valve in the VST is stuck closed.
 
Yes. When I loosen the pressure relief bolt I get no fuel or sound of pressure being relieved.
I’ll check the drain plug and 12 v pump activation.

I drained the VST and got about 2 cups of gas with some water. Checked the wiring and applied 12v but no pump action. So I guess I need to remove the VST and replace pump. Looks a little tight in there. But
 
When you get to the pump, check those two spade connectors. Although I've never heard of them coming loose, it's a possibility. Be sure to bench test the pump before replacing. And remember to thoroughly clean the fuel screen on the bottom of the plastic holder (insulator) the pump sits in, or replace the it altogether - item #29 in the link above.
